Spartans Dancing for 12^th straight year 

Michigan State will be making its 12th straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament as the Spartans earned a No. 2 seed in the Midwest Regional. MSU will face 15th-seeded Robert Morris in the first round on Friday at the Metrodome in Minneapolis. The Spartans (26-6) who finished the year with the Big-10 sweep, conference champ and tourney champ, now have their sites on bigger things down the road. Mainly the Final Four and that road has a couple of bumps in it, but nothing that can not be overcome. Oddly enough, the toughest test on the road to the regional final could come in their second game as Pac-10 sleeper USC may not be as daunting as in football but still is loaded with athleticism, coming off an upset of rival UCLA in the conference tourney, and playing with loads of confidence. Even though they only go 7 deep, it is a formidable test of how good the Spartans can get up and down the floor, and execute under defensive pressure. From there they will probably see Kansas, then the top seed Louisville. All can be had if they execute, but as everyone knows in the age of parity anything can happen and that is the exact reason the Spartans have as good a chance as any to cut down the nets in Motown.
