Time for the conference to 'step up' and win a game or two in the big dance. UCSB and Pacific have done good work but the lack of respect by the selection committee will mean that only the tournament winner will get in. Even though the parity of the entire NCAA is evident this year. I'll put UCSB and Pacific against any Pac-10 team this year.

This will be one of the better years for the conference as 4 teams should get into the big dance but the battle for respect in regards to seeding will always be an issue.

Finallly someone else proves to the selection committee that this is more than a one-team conference. Just the same, for the Tigers to get back to the dance after what John "the rippper" did to them is a great accomplishment.

St. Mary's pulls off the upset over the Zags and now there will be two WCC teams in the big dance. Sadly if it were the other way around there would be a good chance the Gaels would have been left out despite thier 45 RPI much higher than many of the 9 Big East Schools that will get in.

Utah State is in but knowing the way the tournament selection committee works if anyone else wants to dance then they'll need to win this tournament first. So make it an 9-0 run to become national champion.

It's no secret the Pac is down this year as for the first time in recent memory at tounament time we don't have one team who has a shot at getting a top 2 seed in a Regional. Hard to belive how much graduation has taken the best conference top to bottom from last year to one of the worst.

No Doubt Kentucky, Vandy, and Tennessee are in but other schools like Ole' Miss, MState, and Florida still have some work to do. Playing in the SEC has helped but the best RPI of the 3 is Miss at 55 so all 3 had better win some games.

Cuse' gets knocked off in the last game of the regular season, does that mean they need to get to at least the semis to lock in a #1 seed in the Big Dance?

Let's get it on. B-12 Conference Tourney, Kansas is in as a top seed but how many games does K-State need to win to get a 2-seed? The conference should send at least 7 and as many as 8, a statement that the B-12 is the best in the NCAA this year.

Duke is in but needs a strong showing to get back a top seed in the dance, but who else needs a strong showing to gain a ticket or better yet, avoid a bad draw that all but assures an early exit?
